Job Description

Consultancy / EPC experience in FEED / Detailed Design of project for piping.

The qualified candidate will be responsible for Plan, develops, coordinates, and reviews engineering work, such as engineering drawings wrt piping, calculations, specifications, and bid summaries for Oil & Gas, Chemical, Petrochemical projects. Applies broad knowledge of engineering principles and practices to project engineering. Control day-to-day technical work of discipline engineers, specialists, designers, and drafters. Makes decisions independently concerning problems within the discipline of the project. Represents the discipline on the project and with the client to resolve technical questions and as required to coordinate work.

Prepares and oversees work plan in accordance with project scope, schedule, and budget, and manages implementation and performance accordingly. Coordinates assigned engineering work with other project groups/disciplines. Reviews and approves key engineering drawings and calculations and bid summaries. Facilitates technical discussions with third parties (client, suppliers, regulators) and coordinates with client representatives to obtain approval of drawings/documents for different phases of the project.

Knowledge of piping codes and standards like ASME B 31.3, B 31.1, B 31.4, B 31.8, API, IBR, etc. Design basis/criteria for piping, selection, and preparation of piping material specification pertinent to a project/job. Knowledge of systems, calculations, equipment, plot plan, plant layout, materials selection, stress analysis, and preparation of analyses and development of project deliverables within the discipline.Knowledge of engineering work planning and control methods.

Good working knowledge of the application of 2 – D and 3 – D CAD tools in the development of conceptual designs and production design deliverables of some complexity. Guiding modelers/drafters and team for best piping layout design as per industry norms.
